About Hangout on the Hudson
The inaugural Hangout on the Hudson is scheduled for Saturday, August 1 at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, NY! This one-day festival will feature: Death Cab for Cutie, Real Estate and more!
Hangout on the Hudson aims to showcase the breadth of the creative community based in the Hudson Valley with local farm-to-table food vendors, Hudson Valley craft artisans and art installations, family and children's activities (8 and under is free) and much more!

Getting to Hangout on the hudson
Driving
Bowdoin Park is just located seven miles south of downtown Poughkeepsie, NY. Our venue is 75 miles from NYC and 90 miles from Albany and Hartford. Click here for customized driving directions.
Train
Metro North and Hangout on the Hudson have partnered to create a Gateway package.
You can save 20% on your train fare and $9 on your Hangout on the Hudson Admission ticket (GA only)
The Gateway Package will be available for purchase June 1- August 1 at Grand Central Terminal (GCT), Harlem-125th Street, all Metro-North ticket offices and all full-service Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs)(except New Hamburg Station). The special event ticket will not be sold on board trains or over the internet.
Free Shuttle from New Hamburg Train Station
Hangout on the hudson will be running a free shuttle to and from the New Hamburg Train Station (Metro-North)!

Email us to let us know if you are planning on taking the train so we can plan our bus schedule accordingly.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Parking:
On-site parking is available for $20. (VIP Ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase a VIP Parking pass in advance). We will contact you via email once your tickets order is processed.
There will be Limited parking available for vehicles with ADA placards or license plates. Let us know when you arrive and we will find you a spot.

What can I bring into the Festival?
~ Good Vibes
~ Small bags will be permitted inside the venue (smaller than 16”x16”x8” = Size of a diaper bag)
~ One sealed plastic water bottle per person will be allowed into the festival
~ Sunscreen
~ Blankets
~ Low seated lawn chairs . Please note that there will be a “No Chair” area in front of the stage.
~ In the event of rain, handheld umbrellas are allowed in the venue and in seating areas but must be closed and stored during sets so as not to obstruct the views of others.
~ Non-professional cameras are permitted but cannot be used to reproduce the event and must not interfere with other fans’ enjoyment of the festival. (No audio or video recording)
What should I leave at home?
Bags larger than 16”x16”x8” will NOT be permitted inside the venue. For perspective purposes If it is bigger than a diaper bag then leave it at home.
No coolers, outside food, beverages (except one sealed plastic water bottle), glass containers of any kind, alcoholic beverages, illegal substances of any kind, firearms, noise-making devices, laser pointers, knives, box cutters, tools of any kind (including hammers, knives, screwdrivers, etc.), pepper spray, mace, or any kind of item that could be used as a weapon.

Pets (sorry, we love dogs and cats but cannot allow them into the Festival)

Am I allowed to leave the festival and re-enter?
We are not able to allow re-entry. That means that you may only enter the Festival once and will not be able to leave. Sorry, but you can't go to your car. Please bring everything you'll need into the Festival with you when you arrive!
What happens if it rains?
This is a rain-or-shine event! Please check the weather and be prepared for inclement weather. In the case of severe weather, please check this website as well as our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates!
What is there to eat? Can I bring my own food?
We will be bringing in some of the best food vendors in the Hudson Valley and will be serving up a variety of beer, wine and spirits options, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. We will not be allowing any outside food or beverages into the festival except for one sealed plastic water bottle.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes! Bring the whole family. GA Passes are free for kids under 8 years old. If you wish to enter VIP or seated areas with your kids, they will need the appropriate VIP ticket.
Can I leave my car overnight?
NO
What’s included in a GA ticket?
GA entry to the Hangout on the Hudson Festival starts at 3pm. There are no reserved seats. Buy Tickets!

Will tickets be available on the day of the event?
We're not sure! It is totally possible that this show will sell out in advance. We encourage attendees to purchase tickets early!
